The Old Hippie is a Texan in his mid-50s, who after busting his ass for 30 years to give his family a comfortable life — semi-retired to work off some of the items in his bucket list.
He has a vast array of interests, which include drag racing, politics, motorcycles, motorhomes, boating, web design, photography, cars, computing, sports, and more.
The Old Hippie served in the military in the early 70s, and politically falls between Conservative and Libertarian.
The original purpose of this site was as a board of forums to discuss a wide variety of subjects — with no real specialization on one topic. It was created to be a place where bikers could discuss bikes, racers could discuss racing, political junkies — politics, teckies — technical stuff, etc. Members could easily post in those forums that interested them — while avoiding those that did not. While there are a couple dozen forums — most participate in three or less of them — yet still have a place to go to get feedback on a topic they're not normally discussing.
In time a "Portal" was added to post current events and opinions. It has recently been upgraded for yet more usability — like the collection of links. There is also a free classified ad site and a gift shop — which are next for a complete makeover.
Spend as much time as you like browsing the different areas of the domain, posting to the forums, using the free classified ads, and then please let your friends know about our little corner of Cyberspace. The more the merrier — and we welcome your, your family, and your friend's involvement.
