Looks like they are trying to increase the attendance for the Bradenton and Reading races. Awarding points for qualifing in NSS doesn't make much sense, other than being #1 qualifier and getting a chance for a 1st rd bye. What else does qualifing position mean? Example: 16 car field, #10 qualifier runs 2 tenth's over his index (car won't run the #), the last 6 cars all run 1 to 2 hundreths "under their index". The last 6 cars are going to more competitive than the #10 qualifier who is 2 tenth's off his index but gets more points for qualified position? |
