I disagree, $2500 isn't chit to be carrying. It is none of the TSA's business what anyone is doing with less than $10,000. What does carrying $2500 have anything to do with stopping a terrorist attack on the plane. What personal questions should they be allowed to ask that has nothing to do with their job. Should they ask your sexual orientation? Should they ask if a child traveling with you is your natural child or adopted? Should they ask why the lady traveling with you having the same address but different last name is not married to you? It is none of their business and not appropriate. If we keep rolling over to these abuses -- they will try even more. I applaud this guy for what he did. Do you feel it strange that you can't profile a black gansta at 2AM in Los Angeles, or a 19-40 year-old Arab flying on a one way ticket and no money -- but you can harass a white man for carrying $2500 on a plane?
Let's face it -- the TSA is an Affirmative Action job and a farce. They're quick to find your can of Right Guard or nail clippers -- but couldn't find a real weapon if it was right in front of them. Just because the black man that started the whole deal has never had $2500 in his wallet -- doesn't mean he or the government can stick their nose in your personal business. Every cruise I've been on I've carried at least twice that on-board for the casino. Every time I go to Vegas or New Orleans I carry at least twice that. When I go to Mexico -- it costs me $2500 a day just to rent a fishing boat and crew -- and I most likely spend that in titty bars during 7 days. I'm leaving for the Bahamas for my 30th anniversary in a week -- and will have at least three times that for the casinos. Most of the last 20 years I've had at least that amount on my person -- and it is not unusual or their business.
All of these little things add up. In just one day's discussions on this board we have Obama using the Department of Homeland Security classifying the Right Wing as a threat on Homeland Security, the guy who did the two Thomas Payne Ghost videos "Summoned" (as in you better show up -- not a request to spend the night in the Lincoln bedroom), and the negros at TSA pulling you off you flight because you have a measly $2500 on you. This is just one day's worth of Jack-Boot Gestapo tactics -- yet people get offended when comparing Obama to Hitler. Wake up people -- Jos. Stalin never acted this fast.
