The problem with the email sent to me was that they appear to focus on FX.
There web site is
AHRA HOME Looking over their classes they appear to be going the way of NHRA's SUper Stock -- and they had FX broken up into many classes -- of which I don't even know where my car would fit. It looks like I'm to modified for their Super Stock -- and not altered enough for the Nostalgia FX.
I'm hoping they might they have made too many pigeon holes for Nostalgia to attract a full 16 per class -- and might reconsider this year -- or at least next year if they find they spread thing too thin.
I've started a thread over there
American Hot Rod Association Forums - Nostalgia Super Stock / FX Class
Hopefully they will see the presence we were giving NMCA (I say were -- since a lot of drivers in the staging lanes for the 2nd round at Memphis claimed that they were done running the NMCA series) and recognize the NSS/FX is the way to go -- as opposed to spreading that too thin. If it is too late for AHRA to adjust for this year -- hopefully they'll watch how organized NSS/FX runs, and work it in next year.
