Dallas doesn't want to race NMCA this year -- but I'm not ready to say that yet. As far as their board -- I told myself two days ago that I don't need to visit it, and haven't.

I really wanted to take another shot at the ring this year -- but I don't need to be where I'm not wanted. I've gotten the feeling I'm not wanted, and that's a big handicap to overcome in an organization as political as NMCA. Now Dallas is so pissed that he swears he won't change his mind, and absolutely won't race NMCA -- to where I'm not sure I could race there, if it was the only option. Maybe he'll cool down -- but I'm sure that the NMCA would rather I not race with them or visit their forum any more. They're gig is Fastest Street cars, and NSS is diametrically opposed to the 6 and 7 second Mustangs, Novas, and Camaros with their big slicks, NOS, fat slicks, and stickerless sides. I've been told by a NMCA official that NSS is pretty much made up of grumpy old men -- and I was told that Charlie Harmon really doesn't too much care for NSS -- although he frankly, has been nice to me.

That said -- I find it disingenuous that this is all now a "Typographical Error". How do you make something like that a typo -- then PM me with the cost and availability justification? I might be an asshole to them -- but I feel like I stopped this Rat Motor crap in less that 8 hours -- while the rest of the world was sleeping.

It might be crying to some -- this is bigger than most think. It starts with Rats in old Chevys, then its 460s in Thunderbolts, -- then why not put Rats in Buicks, Olds, and Pontiacs? They're GM and have shared engines for decades now. We just don't need to change the rules every time someone shows up with a car just a hair outside of the rules. It bastardizes the class. This is now my 7th year in NSS, I've made 17 of 18 of the last NMCA races (I cannot name one NSS racer who has been to as many), spent hundreds of thousands to race NSS with NMCA, and I'm as competitive as anyone with a car as fast as mine. I don't deserve to be considered the Rookie Jackass anymore, and feel like I have now earned the right to be heard.

As far as phoning rather than post -- well I've gone through the system of telephone calls, emailing to the proper email address for rule changes, and face to face conversations. I have never accomplished a reversal of a stupid rule or the acceptance of a reasonable (lane choice and sticker placement) that way. So I also feel it is disingenuous to suggest that as being the way to get something done -- when it has never before worked for me. Rules like the Rat Motor -- if not stopped in its tracks while the Iron is still hot -- become irreversible.
