JMO,but I think some drivers were/are hesitant to hop on a new band wagon,having seen other venues come,and go.Add to that,the current economic situation,I think they are sticking with know venues,and travel expenses being what they are,people are staying closer to home.
I might add,even thought AHRA is a well known name in the 60/70s(I was one of their racers),not many of todays younger drivers know them,and could be hesitant to race with someone they have no knowledge of.It's not easy to get people to change from what they know to something that's new. |
