Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
the below are a couple of photos of Cracklin Jack after the wreck. Jack Nelson was selling the car (with trailer, truck, and golf cart) because he's lost his job -- I was potentially buying -- and wanted one last bonding with the car he'd built ten years previously.
His first pass was a personal best for the 4-speed car -- at 10.07.
The next pass had him get into his coolant and hit the right wall at over 120. It buckled the right front wheel (bending the K-Frame) and came back and pancaked against the wall again. The below photos really don't show how bad the damage is. He hit so hard -- that he ripped part of the seat anchors up and hurt his shoulders.
Yeah -- the photos don't really show the door opening and the floor pan -- or how flattened the pancaked right side really is. The car can be saved -- but he's better off selling the drivetrain (493 RB Wedge and G-Force 4-speed with McClod) to a racer, and the post car with Dana to someone looking to do a A990 clone. The car has an 18 point cage going for it -- and most likely kept the damage and injuries from being much worse.
That day Dallas was all upset because the waterpump, lift, and generator all broke on the motorhome/stacker -- and we were finishing fixing them at the track when this happened -- and I told him we no problems compared to the troubles of others.

That car can be repaired. Period. Any good body man can get the body straightened out...with some parts from Clay and Sons up in Missouri. The front end damage, who cares...unbolt the k and start over.........looks like only a fender and bumper for the glass........a few grille parts and it's done.
Just cut some of the chit loose and see where the chassis sits...square it up and start over...
Like I said on another post...that is an easy fix...not totaled at all...no need to strip it and sell off the running gear....
None of you guys must have never gone roundy round racing...lol .................Chit...that's only a saturday nite skirmish...most would have it ready for the next weekend. Now the paint job may take a while...but I have never heard of primer slowing one down...
anyone have Jack's phone number?
Mark
