Looks great! I feel your pain hehehehe. Spent the last week working on finishing the tin work on my Cuda. I have about 1 sq foot of sheet metal left to fab and the interior is done. Then it is off to the engine compartment to fill in about 20 holes the previous owner decided the firewall needed hehehehe.

I think very few people actually know how much blood and sweat goes into building one of these cars. Yours is looking great. Should be a first class ride. For a Chevy hehehehe.

Yea we'll see about them Chevy remarks !!!! we will let the two talk at the track... LOL

it's a pain but it's all worth it when i get to spend the 10 grand that i would have to pay to get it built. all in Motor.......plus what i have saved for the motor already....

Hehehehe,

Careful now, might not want to mess with this fish.

Engine is built, but making an intake change. Will be running less than 500" too. Should still be enough to get it movin along just fine though.

With the kind of cash you are saving shouldn't you be able to buy a whole trailer load of Chevy engines hehehehe. I am keeping all the reciepts for my fish, and I think if I put them all together at once I might have a breakdown.

All kidding aside that body style Chevelle is one of my favorites. Father-N-Law restored one for my sister in law. Very nice little car. Really like Trannyman's too. His is super clean and a pretty good runner too. For a Chevy that is hehehehehe.

Dave your car looks good w/ a front end .. I took the old Motor out of my Daughters Vette and set it up to make the car run straight . it's just a 472 stroker. but I have a 250 shoot of NOS . should make enough power to see how the car will handle..

I have to go up and take care of some stuff at the moutain house in the spring and i will take some pic's of the motor that will be in te car for NSS.
got the block, crank ,and rods, should have the pistons by then.. my buddy's at Mountain motors. use my back lot to park there trailer and there doing my motor at cost.. just starting out @ 712ci. so i can blow it up about 4 times, I can go to a 839ci. the way it will be set up..
hope you are as happy when you get the tin done as I am..but I have the two quarters to do and body work is done (I HATE BODY WORK ) keep us up to date on your car..

Looks like we were in the same boat on the body stuff. I just finished welding in the new quarters. Had LOTS of patches to make for the floors. Looking back I should have just bought replacement pans, but instead I decided to just make my own. Spent weeks doing that hehehehe. With all the rotten metal I cut outa the trunk and floors, there is more new metal than old!! Once I get it sealed and primed, I will probably post some pictures.

839ci WOW. I am just going to run a stroked 400 low deck in mine. Of course as you know Damon is my mad scientist behind this build. No juice for me. Gonna be strictly NSS by the rules on this one. I think they would draw and quarter folks for using the bottle if they caught them!

Yep, Gonna have one of the new intakes, and a pair of his special carbs to round out the package.

Shoulda bought new pans and cut patches where I needed them. Too late for that now. Of course using scraps from our sheet metal shop probably saved me a couple hundred bucks. Still need to finish the rear firewall, but Damon helped me out by coming up with a pattern that made enough room for the fuel cell.
