Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
Well, the car just got is really not an SS, but does have the look and feel and has been racing since the 79 Winternationals in Pomona.
I will try and get some pictures on my first outing on the 13th of next month. The car has gone 9.9's but I don't think I'll be doing that until I get comfortable with the car. Test/Tune/Certification will be interesting and I will be seeing what kind of 60' times I can muster along with reaction times as it's been 20 years since my last drag race. I actually started out in the early 70's with a SS/IA Camaro.
Can't wait to climb back into the "office" and have some fun!
My avatar is what I will racing with...................70 Maverick.

When Dallas won at Zmax last year I order the Winner's Circle photos -- and they were never sent to me. When I was at Dallas racing two weekends ago -- I saw and recognized the photographer and said "Dude -- where's my photos?" After some lame excuses about sending them while he was in Kansas -- I told him I wanted my photos or my money. He had the photos from Zmax on a spare drive. So here they are a year late!
Here's my son and my car at Martin, MI earlier this month. We went to an Import race because my son was told that they were going to have a well-prepped track and we needed a place to shakedown the car.
It turns out that we smoked the tires in all 5 passes.
Here's a photo of my car taken last week during a shakedown run at Milan. As you can see, it launches pretty soft, so we're turning up the initial boost. We're getting close to the "two parachute" stage now.
