Sweet Maverick Greg.
You will enjoy it. Never heard bad from anyone that ever had one. They are a KILLER drag car.
Do you get over on the Maverick forum?, was curious.
Regards.

Thanks Al,
The car was originally built by Greg Nichols and he campaigned it back in the SM days. I purchased the car last year and although the engine/trans combo has changed it pretty much looks the same without the graphics. I am putting the original graphics back on the car and will run brackets and some nostalgia races with it.
Yes, I am on the Maverick forum.

Great Pics Dave,
I wish I could have got a chance to get to Milan, but had "Honey-Do's"
Milan is only 75 miles from me.It would have been nice to meet yas in person.
Have I got a MOPAR story for yas!Back in 69-70, my Dad could have bought the "Suspect" for $2,200 back then. Which was a 64 Dodge with ALL the goodies. It had a spun bearing, w-trailer and two mini-bikes!
But that was ALOT of money back then still for a shop-rat with 3 kids...
If we only had the foresight. That car is now the current "Color-me-gone car, run by Roger lindemoods son last I heard. It was in the Chrysler museum for awhile. I dont know if its still ran or not now. Anyone know?

I have a heartbreak story like that. My Brother-in-law bought a 1970 Motion Stage 2 Chevelle from a guy for $2000 and traded it during the gas crunch on the East Coast for a Delta 88. I was a college kid at the time, but he let me borrow it when I came home on weekends. Built 396, 4-speed, 4.88 rear. The car would go for >$100k today.
I ain't had a race car in quite a while, but here is a picture of my first car, that's me, the car, and "transporter", taken in 1969, in front of Bob Harris's Vette Shop, Houston TX. The afternoon before a race at old Houston track, on the Gulfport Hwy.
Another couple pictures at Little River "Temple Academy" TX 1969, now this was one narrow track, with a chain-link fence on one side, and a "guard-rail" on the other. There was no return road for hot cars, we towed two at a a time, back up the track.
Big Mike Burkhart's car, in the rear, and he''s driving my truck.
