Default Texas NSS Series In The Works

I debated this long and hard, but I figured if I pull this off, eveybody will need to be in the loop already.
I'm currently working several corporate connections to have a six race series basically along the I-35 corridor from Oklahoma City to San Antonio. Six races. This in addition to the Houston NMCA event and the Mopars at the Motorplex.
The folks Im dealing with are local (Texas) and had been burned by the roundy round people already, so I'm having to give them assurances that their money WILL be accounted for (my responsibility) It would pay down sixteen places, pay much better than NMCA, and be a one day show. We'd use the current NSS rules, with some gray in places to draw some new participants (changable stuff).
That said, I need to be the one in charge. One thing that kills us is the ten Chiefs and no Braves in the tribe thing.
I WILL NOT MASSIVELY OVERHAUL THE CLASS. No smallblocks, no electronics, no 14 inch slicks, no wings and air dams, you guys know me.

If this comes about, all I need is for everbody to show up, race, party and have a good time. If we put on a good show, we'll be successful, if you beat me to death with nickel and dime crap, we can all go back to travelling 2000 miles to be a little fish in someone else's big pond.

You guys know me and my passion for these cars, I will not let you down. Besides, I checked: it's against the law to kill me........

I'd be an idiot not to lean the experience that you, BK, Damon, heck everybody would bring. But there has to be one final arbitrator.

And yes! Slowly the Dart is moving forward. If I can't do both, I'll put somebody in the car.

Would you believe it Mark, Jake's driving now.......

Here's some nuts and bolts:

If I nail down the sponsorship I proposed it would be a sixteen car field, qualified like NMCA: closest to the index without running under.

Payout; 1st rd $50
Qtrs $100
Semis $200
R/U $600
WIN $1200

If we get a minimum of six non-qualifiers we'll have a Chicago style runoff with the two closest winning indexes running for some money (I have an associate sponsor in the works for this).

If we have a minimum number of cars we'll put the associate money into a low qualifier/right on index sort of award.

Dallas and I will come to every race that doesn't conflict with the NMCA or Monster. We have to make every race (with the new points system) to have a chance at the ring.

Please use the Calendar to list all events along with the calendar at Nostalgia Super Stock Racing - Real Men Do It with 10.5 Inches

I've taken the time to list all of the NMCA and the Monster at all three of the other sites -- and will list them here later. I need everyone else to kick in with listing the NSS events Clay pushes, the Texas deal, and this deal.

I am in and would probably make all the races also, but to get Dave to make all of them you will need to include some jet cars.

Absolutely BK. The whole thing is still all on paper right now.

The schedules would be a great help. I'm not gonna worry about conflicting with places like New York or California. The nice thing about Texas is that spring and early fall make for some great racing conditions, while it's still brutally cold in the Great White North. I'm eyeing already established events like Denton's 4th of July Party (they have jet cars!!) and Ardmore's (OK) nostalgia race in the late spring. I'll make every effort to work around NMCA stuff and I'd be foolish to go up against the Monster and the Kansas/Missouri tour Clay and the gang race in.

Doug, you'd be a superb addition to the circuit along with Daly. Two good looking Chevelles for the Bowtie crowd to cheer.
Mark, has Steve still got his red car?

Sorry Dago, but I have not talked to Steve in quite a while..........I think his car is stored somewhere.

a 16 car field is good, but why deal with the others...make it an "all run" field and let it go.......what are you gonna do it ya get 30 cars?........tell em to run for one spot?...the more the merrier.

oops...........already one knickel..........

M.
