I ordered mine in 1998 and got it the 4th of July week of 99 -- and love it. I drive it sparingly -- and it might have 3500 miles on it now.
With Mopar and GM merging -- you might want to get one just for its futire collectible status. The best motor was in the 1999s. They cheapened the parts in the beginning in 2000.
Be aware -- I was pulled over three times the first night I had the car.
They just sold the Blue and white at our dealership. It was a 06 that never sold.
IIRC it went for around $75K. Asking was 90K.
The Viper at our show had the ugliest stock rims I have ever seen. Grey and three bladed symitar style. Freaking ugly. Sorta like the late 90s truck rims.
I was behind a Yellow roadster today. Not sure what year it was but it had rear exit pipes.
