DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
A long, liong time ago.........we decided to go for the B Modified Sports record...and in less than 2 months built a Kellison GT on a tube chassis....had one of Huey Newport's 389 Chevys with Hilborns.........B&M trans...showed up down in Daytona for the NASCAR drags..........Spruce Creek........unloaded and went thru tech...started the day off by screwing up thier roller starter.........then proceeded to set both ends of the record..........on our 3rd pass, late that evening, car got out of shape down deep and took out the clocks...........by then the powers that be...had had enough of our ****...........sent us packin'..............coming back thru Jacksonville, Fl I was driving...we were pulling the car on an open trailer with a borrowed 59 Chevy convertible...everone was asleep and comiing across the bay bridge the car started slowing in spite of my having it floored.........finally looked in the mirror.............that big ring slot chute was fully deployed.......had the car jumping up and down on the trailer...........woke all up and rolled up the chute and stuffed it back inside the car............we continued on with no more screw ups.........held the record for many months.........the car never ran again ....pulled that Chebby 389 and put it into a dirt car.........back then the cubic inch limit was 347......lol You could hear the difference with all the other cars on the track....wish I still had that one.

At the Monster in 2007, Sunday morning eliminations had us sitting in the staging lanes because of an oil down. The morning pot of coffee had caught up to me and I had to chit so bad I could taste it. I finally realized that I wasn't going to make it any longer and I bolted from my car to the 4' fence -- where my toterhome was on the other side. I tried to pummel horse the fence like I did as a younger man -- but the inertia of a 300 pound 53-year-old man had me laid out flat on the ground (at least on the other side of the fence), the top bar of the fence badly bent, and 70+ drivers and their crews laughing their ass off at me.
I was able to take care of business and ride my scooter back just as the cars were moving up.

Between the toter dent in the fence and that one, you are going to have to replace it with one more accident....
Hell -- I bent the bleachers in Jackson more with the toter than bending the fence in St. Louis with it. Thats' while I got a more squared front with a Century Class tractor, than I had with the front jutting out in the Columbia. I suspect I won't hit as much stuff anymore.
