DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
Made some changes to the car over the week, going to race in the HRP Bracket races this afternoon. Hope the rain stays away. Time trials start at 12.30 racing at 4.30....
wish me luck

Not worth a dang, I went to test some new ideas on my car. The first pass the track wasn't prepped very well and I spun bad. Due to the late JR. dragsters we only had one time trial. My second run pitted me against a 16.50 GS Buick, I dialed in a 10.30 because I knew I could run that. I ran a 10.22 to his 16.47 and lost on the breakout. I was on the brakes hard to the point I locked up the rear tires trying to slow. (not to smart)
After much debate I spent the $15.00 for the buyback, only to sit in the lanes forever waiting for the electronic car clean up, and then get doused by a shower. I decided just to load up and go home. The air was awful, the wind was blowing for hell and there was no way I was going to get any real testing done. I wanted to make sure my car could run a 10.00 for next weeks race in San Antonio. I gained nothing except to find some other problems, which was nice to find before San Antonio.
The guy in the tower is now pissed at me for asking for my $15.00 back and not running. On my way out the truck radio was still tuned in to the track, another electronics oil down was announced. Footbrake was still sitting in the lanes...... It was probably a long night for them. Sunday was 1/8th mile racing.
I hate bitching but HRP needs to do something about the delays, I have never been to a race where the JR's ever finished anywhere near the time the say they will. Saturday they were at least 2 hours behind, hence our late start and shorted time trials. Also the Electronic cars always seem to be oiling down the track. Maybe HRP needs to make anything under 9.50 wear engine and transmission diapers.
It really makes me not to want to go back.
