DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.

A four race series now with the addition of the Aug. 28-29 Cordova Event. The rest are in the event section. NSS getting some respect and recognition. Note the payouts in the two series posted today. Although the NMCA pays contigencies, at one time i had ten stickers, this year only four. In 2000 i won a NMCA race , the payout was $1000 plus 10 stickers at 300 each, a $4000 day. Been racing NMCA since 1993 but being pulled in another direction.

Dave if you think a Mopar is hard to get stickers to pay, try a Buick.
I went from 10 to about none this year and I won't be in such a hurry to go to the races. You just keep eyeing that big Championship ring, I got one and it hasn't done much for me.

Why Jim? I'd think you'd be proud of that ring. They don't grow on trees.
You can buy a nice ring if you like jewelry (I only wear a watch) -- but you have to earn a Championship ring. If I am worthy enough to earn one, I'll proudly wear it and consider it one of my important Life's accomplishments. If this isn't the year for me -- then I'll most likely try again next year.
Dave, we were glad to have won it, but I have never worn it. It turned out like other material things in life, you think they are great until you get them and then there is kind of a let down. I know you are working hard for it and that is what you have to do. We worked to win the Championship in 2007 and did. In 2008 we raced some and had fun, but our main focus was the 2 week Mission trip we took to Hondarus to build houses and have bible schools and health clinics. We built 31 houses and Beki and Cindy worked with the kids. We were dead tired but really felt good and means more to me than the ring. Just my 2 cents.
