DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
Basketball is not my favorite, but it is the season. A lot of people are saying Cleveland will take it, but a lot of people here are from California, and they think LA will win. 9-year-old Bessie, who is about as up on basketball as I am, says the only thing she knows for sure is that Denver will lose. She figures anybody who names their team the chicken nuggets can't win anything.

While Houston got their asses kicked last night by LA -- LA is only 3-2 against the #5 team, which has since lost both Centers (Yao and Mutumbo) and Tracy McGrady. If a second string team gives them so much trouble -- then I'll go on a limb and suggest that the Nuggets (which has swept both rounds) is going to be trouble for LA.
Cleveland also is unstoppable. Boston had a nice comeback against the Magic (most likely a better team on paper) last night -- but Cleaveland is on a mission. I hate LA -- so if it comes down to Denver and LA. I'll cheer for Denver. If LA makes it to the Finals -- I cheer on the other team. I can't stand rapist Kobe Bryant.
I'd just as soon go to a wrestling match, and I haven't been to one of them since Pepper Gomez had the Texas wrestling belt and the Kozaks were the tag team champions (betcha a lot of people don't even know who they were!)
But since Dave likes basketball, even though Houston looks done in, I hope one of his teams wins.
Oh but I know who they are.The tag team champs I remember were Fritz&Karl Von Eric. Then how 'bout Waahoo McDanial,The Funk Brothers,Duke Kiamuku,Dusty Rhodes?
I remember the Von Eric Father and brothers. Didn't one die in Japan eating Blow Fish Sushi?
I'll admit I'm a Rockets fan. I played three hours of Basketball from 4AM to 7Am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for almost 15 years -- until I work out my back and shoulder. I missed only two Rocket games this year. I don't watch NFL, Golf, Wrestling, Baseball, hockey, -- just NHRA and NBA.
Mike watches basketball, baseball and FOOTBALL (esp.) He thinks the Cadavers will win.
Duke Kiamuko (Kiamuku, whatever) was a neighbor of one of my friends in Pasadena for awhile. She said he was a really nice guy. I knew Johnny and Greg Valentine (neighbors) and they were great guys, but were gone most all the time. Pepper Gomez died four or five years ago.
Woo Hoo -- the Rockets with second string starters (because they traded off their point guard and their two biggest Super Stars are injured), and no real center kicked the Laker's ass last night. Tied up the series 3-3
They've done this strictly on heart. It is a lot to ask, but hopefully they can dig deep and beat them in LA on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
I hate the Lakers, Rapist Kobe Bryant, and Phil Jackson.
