DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
I got yanked into the scales in MO once and they weighed me. 30200 lbs The trooper asked what I had the truck tagged at and I told him 30M and he told me to head on out. Ive never been squaked at by screamin by the scales other than Nebraska. They will hunt you down and make you pull over to every scale they have.

Texas has been doing no notice trailer inspections and found many to be lacking proper registration and inspection (heck, my box trailer is due). There is a vast untapped money maker here and the states know it. The problem is, each state is different, and in some cases, very different from its neighbor.
My little adventure in Kentucky was, I believe, nothing more than a gearhead officer wanting to check out my Dart. But having my length and weight handy seemed to speed the process. I was gone on my way in ten minutes.
Doug Duell in an unmarked pickup and 2 car trailer and 00 Joe in an unmarked pick up and single car trailer were both pulled over on the way to NMCA's Maple Grove and while both stuck to their stories of being private and going to a car show (as opposed to a race where there is a monetary pay out) -- Doug a ticket for not having a commercial licence.

The PA Troopers were at the exits of the PA Turnpike all around Reading during the event pulling over every trailer trying to get the driver to admit he was going to race for a purse -- so they could give them a ticket for no CDL.
I drove right by them and was expecting them to chase me down -- but they had a nice long line.
