DUMPSTER This is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.

The magazine staff take tons of photos at all of our events. Just because your car was part of a photo shoot does not mean they will use it in the upcoming issue of the magazine it might get used a month later or several months later. You will get a phone call from a writer when the story is ready to be written then you will get an idea when it is printed. I appreciate all the older cars in the NSS and NMC class and without those cars were would we be now the history of the sport is very important and these classes help preserve that.

Yeah -- I've had magazines take photos of my cars and not see it for two years. It was the only Mopar I saw in the photos shoot. There were a lot of Fox Body Mustangs.

Jeff -- you're one of the good guys, and the only NMCA person to say you appreciated the NSS guys coming out. That made a big impression on me.

Sadly -- It seems like racing today is not like it use to. It was a diverse blend of manufactures; cars with old torsion bar suspension, skinny slicks and no power adders that made drag racing what it is today -- and filled the stands in the 60s. Now a few spectators come to see a kabillion Mustangs and Camaros with 17" slicks and more electronics that the Lunar Landing Module had -- with drivers that point and release a button while computers spray laughing gas and shift the car at the right time for them.

We're just dinosaurs to most of them.
