DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
Not my cup of tea, but not a bad looking bike. I prefer the Harley V-twin for a cruiser, not that the over the pond bikes are bad. My Dad went through a Gold Wing,A Vulcan, and a Nomad before he "settled" with his Harley. Hasn't bought another bike since.
I just got rid of my ZL1000...

I had one for awhile that was black and chrome. I had mine hand painted about 12 years ago. It's held up well over the years.
Nothing wrong with Kawasaki. I have had everything from a H2 to a Hyabusa and a lot of chit in between.
I don't know what it is with Harley's V-Twin. It just seems to hit right. I rode my dad's Vulcan 1500 for a week or two and although it ran perfect and never gave me a problem, it just never felt right.
My buddy Dan in New Orleans loves V-Twin sport bikes. He finally got me to ride one two years ago and I was impressed. They don't have the top end charge of a 4 cyl, but they will pull hard and smooth out of a sweeper.

I sold it when I moved (to buy carpet and such ). I got the hankering for a bike again and found a used 2006 Street Bob for $8500. I got approved and the they upped the price so I walked and bought the Vulcan new for $6800.
I figure if I ever have the need to move up, I'll keep the Vulcan rather than loose my asp. It's a comfortable bike and very cheap to maintain.
