DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
I loaded up the AHRA Events with the Monster, Chandler, NMCA, and Mopar on the strip events at Nostalgia Super Stock Racing - Real Men Do It with 10.5 Inches but I didn't get to the Classics or other NSS races. Please feel free to do so yourselves as it was designed
My "in" at one company apparently took the wrong fork when I recieved an E-mail back saying they don't "give money to charities"
I have gone to full Mafia mode: It's strictly business. We are an advertising forum just like billboards, newspapers, etc---BUT......... And proceeded to lay on about one of a kind, unique, mobile, colorful, attention grabbing, you get the idea. Quit is a four letter word.
Watching the AHRA thing carefully.
Mark/Dave everyone....whatever will be best for us and the class: If we nail a sponsor and we do six, if we don't and maybe do two or three local nostalgia deals, or if we slip this idea into neutral untill the AHRA thing plays out, let me have it with the bark on.
The three "unsponsored" races I've looked at would be the "Mopars at the Motorplex", The Ardmore Nostalgia race, and the Fourth of July race at Denton (it draws a huge crowd). Oh yeah, Larry has purchased the track at Denton. If anyone comes up with something for the south side (Houston-San Antonio) let me know and we'll get it cranked up.

If it were me -- I'd work it, and not put it on hold just because something else is also being investigated. Hell -- if they all bear fruit, great. Gotta love options.
We've gotten an invitation to do the 4th of July race at Denton (I think it's actually Saturday the 3rd). I've asked for free car and driver and our own section in the pits. I WILL get us some money to race for. I will firm everything up with Larry and Nick very soon. Last year they had so many people they had to be parked along the access road for the interstate. It should be our kind of crowd: Fuel Altereds, front engine dragsters and they're working with the Geezer Gassers to come down.
Please let me know if you would be interested. Thanks, Rick

Please add it to Events - Nostalgia Super Stock Racing when you know for sure the date. The date appears to be open. When I see all of the NSS events that are available (still waiting on the Midwest series of NSS races to list their dates) I'll try to pick a series of races with a Championship, and a few single events. Inot opposed to running 1/8 mile tracks -- but I sure rather run a 1/4 mile.
