DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
There is someone selling a restored Arlen Vanke 65 Plymouth A990 -- saying it is a factory issued car from a collection. I've asked for more photos and information -- but I'm wondering if this isn't a car that Akron Arlen ran in NSS.
What did Arlen run when he was running NSS?
Also -- look for a thread in the Drag Racing Forum called Drag Racing's Glory Days. In it has Arlen's Pro Stock Duster running Ronnie Sox' 70 Cuda.
and a "little bird" from Chicago just told me that the car was previously owned by Boyd Peck. Boyd moved from that car to the 69/68 Dart, "Sir Boss" in NSS/FX.

The 65'car Tony DePillo runs now was Arlen's A-990 car. The car is still very competitive in SS/B where Tony had the record at 8.91 until Paul Adams took it away with a 8.83 in his 64' T-Bolt. Arlen has many great memories of that 65'. It was raced for awhile by a guy out of the Barnett Race Cars stable. Can't remember who though. It was painted up simalar to Bagwell's car.

We recently aquired this 65 Plymoth Fury factory SS car as part of a larger collection. It really should go to some one who will use it in anger, it just dosn't fit into our plans. I would like to know what we have here and where to sell it.
