DUMPSTERThis is where threads go to die. Old threads are moved here (and displayed in reverse order) before they're forever deleted. While they'll most likely not be moved out out of the dumpster -- those posted to will gain a short reprieve of a month or two. Obviously no threads are to be started in this forum.
Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
Looks like the '59-'64 Chevy racers just got a new reason to be happy. Just saw the NEW, ALUMINUM 409 block. Sheds 140(!) pounds, and can be built to yield 632 cubes!
I can bet that he will have one. I have a 62 Biscayne setting in my shop that needs one if I did a ton of work to fix all the rust. That may be down the road as I'm getting it running now with a 300hp 327 and 4 sped and rat rod around a little. If I get an aluminum block, it will be for my Buick when TA finally gets them ready.

I talked to that guy a couple of weeks ago, He said then that the block would only accept 540 cubic inches. I believe the thing was almost 5k just for the block. Lamar somebody had the heads and no intake yet designed to match the cubes.... at least that was the story I was told. $100.00 deposit put your name on the list for the first and maybe (depending how it sells) only run of production.
I was tempted just to give him a $100.00 just to have my name on one.
