Anyone having Login Problems?

OK -- I'm trying some things to give the appearance of less political.

I'm leaning back on the focus being the URL www.oldhippie.com instead of www.conservativeoldhippie.com -- but I think I have it set up so that either would work.

However, I might have to make adjustments.

If you can't log in, then clear your cookies and try again.

If that doesn't work -- then you are most likely using the www.conservativeoldhippie.com url. Try to us the shorter www.oldhippie.com url and post in this thread that you are having a problem with the longer www.conservativeoldhippie.com url.

However, and I can't imagine this happening if you did the above, if you can't stay logged in after clearing your cookies and using the shorter url -- email me at davetheoldhippie@gmail.com and tell me

* Your Browser
* the full url that you tried to log in with
* If you checked the remember me box
* How far you got before there was a problem

I had trouble logging in today, around 0720 hrs. EST. I had to re-enter my log in codes for some reason. They were accepted, but usually, I don't have to do that once I'm here, Firefox had them in it's password files, but for some reason today they were gone. Might have been a Firefox issue though, not necessarily a web site issue. Hard to tell.

If you look in the address bar -- conservativeoldhippie.com now redirects to the shorter url of oldhippie.com

It is true -- everyone will ONE TIME have to enter their username and password -- then check the Remember Me box -- and then you will again be remembered.

If for some reason you get Red boxes, can't log in, or have any other problem -- then log off the site, and clear your cookies. (Different way for each browser -- but hopefully you know how to do it in your browser as it is the #1 problem solver)

While the redirect, should work --0 there are a billion new browsers and billion new firewalls -- and a kabillion different combination of setting between the two.

That said -- if it were me, I would get away from using the longer theconservativeoldhippie.com url and use the shorter oldhippie.com -- and replace all of your bookmarks with the shorter.

If you have cleared your cookies, and if you now use the shorter URL and not old bookmarks/links -- and you are still having problems to where you can't post to this thread -- THEN email me at davetheoldhippie@gmail.com WITH as many details as you can telling me what you did, what you use, and what happened IN DETAIL.

I use Firefox and without problems. I will now try in Internet explorer and report back.

OK -- now in Internet Explorer 8 -- I see some Red Xs

man I hate IE -- they abosolutely suck and 99.9999999999999999999% of any Internet problem reported to me about my sites has to do ONLY with Internet Explorer.

I think I know how to fix.

I believe that I have the Red Xs that showed up in Internet Explorer fixed.

You know -- there was a time that Internet Explorer was the best act in town. It is now the worse act in town.

I strongly recommend, not just for this site -- but for all sites -- that people give Firefox a shot. It is a great browser that has some great addons. It is true -- that one or two obscure addons are bad -- but a good firewall blocks them.

I've used Firefox for a couple of years now and have dozens of great addons. I've had zero problems -- and the benefits from ebay sniping to FTP are a life saver.

I would avoid all of the new browsers by Apple and Google -- at least for now -- as I will not test every change I make on a site on every obscure browser made. I will program for Fixfox, and begrudgenly support IE8.

The above link is for Firefox. Download and then go check out the addons. Nothing to be scared of. It is not complicated and you can't screw up. Very tight and easy installation process -- which is automatic. Sit back and it does everything.

I hate IE as well, which is why I never use it. I only use Firefox or Opera. Once it re-entered my log in info., everything was fine.

Hi to all
I have a problem to log in Gmail ID. yesterday my user name and password both were works but today it is no working. when i enter then it gives an error message "user name and password incorrect".
To solve this problem i went to forgot password process. but it is usefulness for me. Help me. Any help would be appreciated.
