Just found this site a few days ago. Been browsing around it and found it very appealing. There's so many topics to chose from thought there would always be something new to learn about.
I live near Wheeling, W.V. and was born and raised here. My big hobby is boating. Currently have a pontoon boat, and a pontoon houseboat in my stable. Just totally rebuilt the houseboat and down to the final details on it. But as any of you from the Northern Hemisphere know there is no hurry to finish it now. My interests are wide and varied and I hope over time we have a opportunity to share our thoughts.

Native Texan, farm boy and I'm closer to 60 than I ever thought I'd get (less than a year). Managed to slip through the cracks and graduate from Texas Tech somehow. Been a car nut ever since you could buy Hot Rod Magazine for .25. Got into scooters in the late 60's and pretty much did that whole deal until the late 70's when I got back into drag racing. Opened my own repair shop in the late 70's and still trying to figure out if it's gonna work. (G) Run through Mustangs, Sunbeam Tiger, Don Hardy Vega, Corvette, Anglias, Hot Rods, and haven't been without some sort of Harley since I bought my first one in 69.
Wife, booze, partying, etc......used to but I quit. I still manage to have a good time.

Hello, I'm Jim and I'm retired. I was a mechanic in the 60's&70's.I worked for Ford and Mopar dealers. I served in the Navy for 2 years and ran my own shop for 11 years. Had back problems and worked for GE for the next 25 years. I have a 1966 Sport Fury that I bought new. I live in upstate SC. I used to race in the 60's. Drag & dirt.

Hi to everyone I am helping to put together The Nostalgia Little Guy Nationals from Suffolk Raceway,Suffolk Va.which will be held at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie,Va.near Petersburg,Va. The show date is MAY15-17,2009 we are going to have lots of nostalgia drag racing,car show,midway,nostalgia swap meet,activities for the entire family.I have also been involved in forming a new nostalgia drag racing assoc.named The Best Of Times Nostalgia Drag Racing Assoc.We are currently seeking new members so we can put together a racing series with other tracks.We are useing the antique car rule of 25 years or older because their are a lot of drag race cars being restored that are newer THAN 72!
