 Cell phone account swap with same provider.
We have a AT&T cell phone account for a long time. Our phones are 979 area codes. Our son in law wants to give our daughter a new phone for Christmas and move the phone into his account. She will want to keep her phone number. San Antonio is a 210 area code.
AT&T does not want to do this. We have given permission to them to do so which is what they wanted at first. The only way they are willing to do this is if he has a federal tax id.
