Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
thanks for the reply dan, mine has the front clip, the bumpers and brackets, the trunk lid, and the glass is mostly lexan.I took out the back seat made a little shelf and carpeted it- still weighs 3700 lb without me! best time so far 13.90@100mph. not too bad for a street car with a 3.70 gear on street tires through the mufflers. I want to keep this a street cruiser. PS that's the same guy,I haven't seen him in 20-30 yrs. later, matt.
Matt, not sure about the wheel stander, but Nick was part of the U S Male FC.I believe he's still racing the Challenger,or Vega, can't remember which.
The Galaxie has a complete fiberglass front clip, deck lid,and bumpers. All glass is Lexan, everything that was not required was removed, aluminum heads, intake, master cyclinder, and radiator.Car has all 4 wheel disc brakes, that alone removed 55 lbs off the front,we used Aerobrake. All sound deadner, insullation.and undercoating was removed, all bumper brackets were fabbed from aluminium strips. We use a Jerico trans, magniezum case, much lighter than the Ford top loader, and an aluminum drive shaft.
Suspension is coil over ladder bar, saves aprox 50 lbs over the leafs.
Race ready the total weight is 3350.
Takes a lot of work to get a 63 that light.
Matt, sorry took me so long getting back, but I completely forgot about vistor message.....My bad.......DB
