Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
I bought a new Harley Heritage in 1993 -- and back then you waited, took whatever color they gave you, and was bent over with $10,000 in accessories if you wanted to ride.
17 years later, I'm repainting the bike in a more classic (50s) color scheme of Robin egg blue and white.
I gave the Road King to Dallas and he rides it a lot.
I had a pint of turquoise custom mixed starting with Robin Egg Blue and mixing green in until I liked it, and a pint of pure white. My painter is going to paint the turquoise where the black was and white where the cream was.
I have an artist that I'll either have paint a Bison skull or an eagle busting out of the tank -- not sure which yet. He'll also pin-stripe a red/brown where the turquoise/white meet. Then my painter will clear and sand again before we reassemble.
I took the saddle to Stiches on Hwy 6 to cut out the foam and replace with a gel cushion.
The above is my 1994 Harley Heritage — that I bought new in 1993. Then, the waiting list was years — so you took what ever color you got — plus $10,000 of ginger bread you didn’t want. After 17 years — I thought it was time to change the color to what I would have ordered. Actually — I wanted more of a 57 Thunderbird turquoise and white — but for some reason when I picked the paint up it was too "Robin’s Egg Blue" I had them add green three times before I settled on the below — before the color got too screwed up. The paint was color sanded today and I’ll take to the artist tomorrow for the tank art and blood red pin-stripe between the blue and white.

I took the sheet metal to an artist today. For $500 he'll paint a couple of kool buffalo skull murals with feathers blowing back into the tear drop of the tank -- and pinstripe variegated gold leaf between the white and blue. I'll pick up over the weekend and have my painter clear early next week.
I picked up the saddle from the trim shop today. They removed the leather cover, scooped out the 17-year-old foam, replaced with a gel cushion, and replaced the leather cover. I hope to be riding this time next week.
