| NSS-Racing.com Nostalgia Drag Racing (Nostalgia Classes) This is now the new official board for NSS-Racing.com -- a site dedicated to Nostalgia Super Stock & Nostalgia Muscle Car Drag Racing. The reason it is hosted by this site, and didn't migrate to www.MoparStyle.com with the rest of the MoPowerStyle sites -- is because this site has forums for other American Cars -- and not just Mopars. | | | | | | HMFIC | | Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: SE Texas Age: 54

Tell us a little about yourself: I Grew up watching S/S in the 60s. Did a little drag racing in the early 70s while in the Air Force. Did a lot of street racing in the late 70s and early 80s. Was a business executive working 15 hour days in the 80s and 90s -- so I didn't race much. I sold my business for a little home run in 1998, and semi-retired to try to catch up on enjoying life and my family.
In 2002, I picked up drag racing again. In 2003 I sent my car to Texas Thunder to get converted into a NSS car. In 2008 I got serious about NSS racing. I placed #4 in the NMCA's 2008 points.
Big Red Ram is currently at Texas Thunder getting modified -- as will the driver in the coming weeks. I hope to return to NSS racing on the NMCA (and other events) circuit with a vengence. | | | | HMFIC | | Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: SE Texas Age: 54

12.00 come and catch me!
In 2008 I ran 422allstars NSS, Won 4 of the 6 races and the championship,I also ran Ram racing All Motor Index Won 2 of 6 races and the Championship ,Made one NMCA race @ atco New motor could not find index in the heat arg ! lost to Joey. Cecil Countys Sat night shootout made most race's finished 10th. Chrysler Classic @ Norwalk Lee drove the wagon broke out second round, and I ran my 63 Galaxie in open comp at Fun Ford in Va. messed up in the semis. This has to be my best year ever.
2009 I was trying to not race at all but The Crysler Classic and Battle of the brands look like fun If I could find the travel money.
I work at a Dodge Dealer in the Parts Department. Times are tough. I even thought about Old Hippie's job offer.
Live and work on cars no time for other hobbies.
I have raced since 1970 and still have the 63 Galaxie Conv that I first raced. Its also the first car I blew up.LOL I Have "done it all with a slow car" I have been a NMCA EFI Champion in 93. I have set NHRA Stock records in AF/SA. I ran super gas with a 440 6 pack 81 K car and Super Comp with a Quay 225 dragster, 440 powered of coarse. In 99 I found NSCA EFI to not be where I wanted to run and the NSCA AM classed, 1970 superbird clone just not "it" either. I found my wagon on Ebay and 8 years of fun ever since.
Some of my 2008 fun can be found @ www.422motorsports.com

| | Driver Name: Brian Meyer / Lonny Meyer / Bill Meyer Nick Name: mfr440 / mfr422 / mfr426 City/State: Indianapolis, IN Age: 36 / 40 / 59 Car Name: Meyer Family Racing Year/Make/Model: '64 Plymouth Belvedere Index Most Often Raced in: NSS/C (11.00) Events raced in 2008: Norwalk Classic, Monster Mopar Event Plans for 2009: Monster Mopar, Norwalk Classic, ???? Civilian Employment when not racing: Elec Motor Sales / Aircraft Mechanic / Retired telecom engineer (now drives school bus) Other Hobbies and Interests: Riding ATV's (four-wheelers) Tell us a little about yourself: At Dave Duell's urging, Meyer Family Racing joined the Nostalgia Super Stock movement at the Mopar Nationals in 1996. The Meyer trio raced a 1965 Dodge Coronet with a Max Wedge until 2001, when a rules change disallowed the 1965 models. They were lucky to find their current ride, 1964 Plymouth Belvedere, which happened to be a carbon-copy of the Dodge, on the internet in 2002. Originally a 318 with push-button transmission, the Meyer Family Racing Belvedere now sports the transferred Max Wedge drivetrain. The Meyers are currently working to put the 1965 Coronet back on the strip as well. Bill's brother and nephew also race a '62 Plymouth Fury in NHRA and IHRA 10.90 class. | | | | Junior Member | | Join Date: Dec 2008
