Donations of any size will help to defray the enormous legal costs from a lawsuit filed against the administrator of OldHippie.com, by what many refer to as a "Copyright Troll" law firm, for the posting of a TSA "Pat Down" photo they had bought the copyright rights to, after the photo was posted on this site, and then removed.
Well, the Studester is back from Miller Auto Interior in Great Falls, and sporting a new gray and blue interior. Really looks nice inside now...and wow, did it ever quiet it down in the cab!
Adding a bit more shiney under the hood all the time, too...want it to really "overpower" when the front tilts forward. The scoop-type filter housing really seems to give it that 60's hotrod look...
Heading out to Bozeman tomorrow, then on to Missoula Friday night. Will give the ol' girl some exercise this weekend...

Am considering fabbing some sort of roll bar for the studester...with the top off, there's not a lot between my pumpkin and the asphalt if I happen to get the wheels on the wrong side. Any suggestions from you, Jeff??? I don't want it to look "off-roady", or too modern, like a stylized combination rollbar/spoiler look; that wouldn't fit the rod look I'm envisioning. Perhaps the small double rounds like in some of the older sports cars...any thoughts???
First thought for me was the type you mentioned, like the old sports cars had. Maybe a tonneau cover that would have those small double rounds, with the actual roll bars underneath. Make the bars fairly easy to unbolt so that when you're at a show you'd have the option to show it with or w/o the cover. If you have access to a fair amount of sheet aluminum, I'd say build the cover out of that.
