| | President's Visit To Texas A&M Now An Invite Only Event When it was announced last month that President Obama was coming to town for the Points of Light award ceremony at the George Bush Library, organizers said those wanting to go would be able to get tickets.
But, this weekend organizers let it be known that only a chosen few will be allowed to see the President at next Friday's event. Instead of tickets, organizers now say those in attendance will be hand picked.
Instead of the event being held at the George Bush Library, Rudder Theater on the Texas A&M Campus is now where the event will be held. The exact time of the event hasn't been announced although it was orginally scheduled from 4-to 5:30pm Friday October 16th.
The event will honor the enormous advances of the service movement that started 20 years ago under the leadership of President George H.W. Bush and will bring together national and local civic leaders, Daily Point of Light Award winners, HandsOn Network affiliates, young people and corporate and philanthropic leaders. The forum is designed to engage the nation in dialogue about the role of service in our communities and in sharing innovative ideas about service as a solution to some of our most pressing issues.

Is he afraid if a few Tea Party people carrying signs on the side of the road..... Now it is right smack in the center of TAMU. I don't know how campus police will handle this.

| | Yeah -- and that gave us Johnson who gave us a class of people who feel they and they're descendants are forever entitled to a free ride.
Obama is the worst President since Carter -- and most likely worse than that. He's an ego maniac with an ego greater than Hitler. However, Biden is no bargain and Pelosi is insane. I don't wish Obama dead -- I just wish that we still have enough of America left when he's thrown out to rebuild.
BTW -- the man who killed Kennedy wasn't a Texan. He was from New Orleans, and Pro Soviet. In the weeks and months prior to him pulling the trigger -- he met with Cubans in Mexico and the New Orleans mob -- who had tight connections to the Chicago mob. The Chicago mob hated Bobby Kennedy because they delivered the ACORN votes to Joe Kennedy -- only to have Bobby Kennedy drag all of the Chicago mob onto televised hearings to make his bones. The best way to get to Bobby was through John -- as LBJ hated Bobby and would do what he did (throw him out of the White House toot-sweet) and he'd not only have to go through life knowing his brother was killed to send him a message -- his career was over.
The opportunity took place in Texas -- the orders came from Chicago. | | | | Trouble Maker | | Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: On the Outside, Looking in...
