How Gun Control Has Worked In Australia

It has been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, a program costing the government more than $500 million dollars.

And now the results are in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent;

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent;

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (YES, 44%). Figures over the previous 25 years had shown a steady decrease in armed-robberies with firearms.

In the state of Victoria, homicides with firearms are up 300%.

There has been a dramatic increase of break-ins and assaults of senior citizens.

Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no improvement in “safety” has been observed after such monumental efforts and expense was successfully expended in “ridding society of guns.”
 

The above was sent to me as an email many times in 1998. I have no way to verify the facts -- so take it with a grain of salt. If someone can supply me with a link to establish this as fact -- I will add it to this page. Now you won’t see this data on the evening news or hear the Clintons, Gore, Sheila Jackson Lee, Barney Fag (I mean Barney Frank), Maxine Waters or other Democrats disseminating this information. They rather spread their lies!

It’s time to state plainly that guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws only affect law-abiding citizens. My wife and I were among the first in Texas to acquire concealed hand-gun permits. I firmly believe that because Texas had the guts to allow honest citizens the right to carry a concealed handgun that no one has tried to take my Rolex from my wrist. Will I be so fortunate if my guns are taken from me?

Pay attention Americans and use your voting power— before it is too late.
