Media Honesty

A biker is riding by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage.

Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A New York Times reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the biker says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life.'

The biker replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.'

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist from the New York Times, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page... So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?''

The biker replies, 'I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican.'

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys The New York Times to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on front page:

A JAW-dropping political miracle may be on the horizon. No, I'm not talking about the second coming of the Obamessiah. I'm talking about the long-deserved comeuppance of troop-smearing, pork-feasting, scandal-tainted Democratic Rep. Jack Murtha of Pennsylvania.

The 18-term congressman's challenger, staunch conservative Republican newcomer William Russell, raised nearly $670,000 in the second quarter. Earmark king Murtha scraped together a measly $119,000.

Russell's underdog campaign bested Murtha without the perks of incumbency, national name recognition, big PAC donations or mainstream media support.

Even more amazing: The challenger, a Desert Storm veteran and Army reservist who survived the 9/11 Pentagon attack, wasn't even publicly campaigning during the quarter. Russell, 45, is on active duty with the Army until after Aug. 1 and is barred from actively campaigning until then.

If all that didn't make this enough of an inspiring story: In February, a Pennsylvania judge ruled that Russell had failed to collect enough signatures to make the primary ballot. But he refused to give up on his goal of defeating Murtha. The GOP neophyte persevered on a shoestring budget and won more than 4,000 write-in votes in the spring to earn a spot on the general-election ballot. Russell's campaign manager, veteran GOP activist Peg Luksik, says most second-quarter donations were less than $50.

Russell's clear on where he stands. "I am a conservative," he says in his defining campaign statement. "I believe in the sovereignty and security of this one nation, under God. I believe the primary role of government is to provide for the common defense and a legal framework to protect families and individual liberty."

The excitement around Russell stands in stark contrast to grass-roots disgust on the right with Beltway Republicans who continue to push the party to the left in a brain-dead bid to "rebrand" the GOP. He has united pro-troops families, social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, Reagan Democrats and independents fed up with Murtha's culture of corruption dating back to his Abscam days in the 1980s.

(Murtha wasn't indicted in the infamous bribery probe but he was videotaped entertaining a $50,000 bribe from undercover FBI agents posing as emissaries for Arab sheiks trying to enter our country illegally.)

"The incredible story about Bill's campaign is that the $15 and $25 contributions are coming in from all over Pennsylvania and every corner of the country," Luksik noted on the Russell Brigade Web site. "This is K Street versus Main Street."

Russell decided to enter politics after hearing Murtha's slanderous 2006 accusations that Marines in Haditha "overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood." Seven Marines have been cleared or won case dismissals in the Iraq war incident Murtha recklessly adjudicated in the court of public opinion - with willing mainstream journalists swinging their nooses.

Perhaps that complicity explains the great media wall of silence around Russell's upstart campaign. Republican Bill Russell offers ethical, freedom-enhancing, pro-responsibility, anti-retreat, unapologetically conservative change they don't want to believe in.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — State police say they arrested a man early Tuesday whose blood alcohol level was 0.491 percent — the highest ever recorded in Rhode Island for someone who wasn't dead.

Stanley Kobierowski was taken to a hospital, put in the detoxification unit and sedated, said Maj. Steven O'Donnell. He was arraigned Tuesday on charges of driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest, and he was released after promising to appear Friday at a court hearing.

"The person's lucky they survived," O'Donnell said. "There's no doubt he would have gotten killed or killed someone if he had continued on the route he was taking."

A phone listing for Kobierowski could not be found, and he did not have a lawyer in court Tuesday.

Kobierowski, 34, of North Providence, was arrested after he drove into a highway message board on Interstate 95 in Providence, O'Donnell said.

After police arrived, Kobierowski had trouble getting out of the car, then grabbed it and refused to move, forcing troopers to carry him to the breakdown lane before taking him back to their barracks, O'Donnell said.

A breath test showed blood alcohol readings of 0.489 percent, followed by 0.491, O'Donnell said, the highest readings state officials could remember for someone who didn't end up dead.

The legal limit in Rhode Island is 0.08. A level of 0.30 is classified as stupor, 0.4 is comatose and 0.5 is considered fatal, according to the health department.

Hey, folks, Want to participate in tweaking the Drive-By Media?  You are aware, probably, that Barrack Obama lost his bearings recently and said that he was going to campaign in all 57 states.  You heard this?  And everybody chalked it up to, 'Well, he's tired.'  

You know, this is a Dan Quayle moment.  I mean, Dan Quayle goes out there and misspells 'potato,' and we still hear jokes about it.  Barrack Obama says he's gonna go out and campaign in 57 states, he was just tired, you know, it's been such a long campaign, he's been so many places, he probably thinks there are 57 states.  Well, I have here a printout from a website called the International Humanist and Ethical Union …  And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that website begins.  'Every year from 1999 to 2005 the organization of the Islamic conference representing the 57 Islamic states presented a resolution to the United Nations commission on human rights called combating.' 

We're participating here in a tweak of the media.  Obama said he's going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states.  'Every year from 1999 to 2005, the organization of the Islamic conference representing the 57 Islamic states,' this is from the International Humanist and Ethical Union ..  And the title of the piece here is, 'How the Islamic states dominate the UN human rights council,' and there are 57 of them. 

So did Obama just lose his bearings, or was this a more telling slip, ladies and gentlemen? Will YOU be deceived by this man?

My son Dallas, daughter Hope, and wife Deb – along with two of our dogs -- left Tuesday morning and had an uneventful trip, arriving at the track at Noon Wednesday. They had the motor homes stage over at the Chicagoland (NASCAR) track across the street from Route 66 Dragway until about 3PM.

After setting up camp and getting the cars unloaded – we registered and teched the cars in. This was a combined NMRA and NMCA event – and NMRA must be all Mustangs or something. 90% of the cars there were Mustangs.

Thursday was to be for Time Trials. We took Dallas’ car out first – and it again broke. This was the third time in a row (Torque Converter in Dallas and a fistful of pushrods in St. Louis) to where it just is not fun anymore for Dallas. He is telling me he has done racing. We get the car back to the pits and one of the adjustor on the new Indy heads had spooned out and destroyed a pushrod. I had spare push rods but not rocker adjusters. After going pit to pit – Andy Mays had a used one that he let me have. At about 3PM we had it all back together and made another pass on his car – and it did an 11.02 on an 11.00 index. I then took my car out – and had problems with it too. By 8PM, we inspected and re-ran the valves on Dallas’ car and had mine straightened up.

Friday morning was the first Qualifying session, and my 9.52 on a 9.50 and Dallas’ 11.012 on an 11.00 had us both with the number 2 Qualifying positions for our class. I knew mine would not hold up – and would have to do better. In the evening, we got our second of three of our qualifying. Dallas could not better his – and I did a 9.499 on my 9.5. His stayed as #2 but I dropped to #6. Saturday was to have our third of three qualifying in the morning and Eliminations start in the afternoon. It had rained all night – and they dropped the third qualifying session.

There were eight NMC cars and NSS had 19. Three Thunderbolts, two 59 Chevys, Jim’s Buick, the AA/FX “Keep the Faith” Plymouth, the 66 Fairlane currently in 1st place, the AMX in second place, the Seltzer and White Chevelle, and a couple of Plymouths – including a red FX wagon. Marty with the 4-speed Maroon Thunderbolt was Top Qualifier – and got the Bye. In the first round, I won over the Retig Brothers Plymouth – in a very interesting pass. All weekend I was not hooking up well and never got on the wheelie bars (which are set a little high). This time I came up hard on the bars and the car was out of shape bad when the front wheels came back down. The announcers gave me the “Allstate Safe Driver of the Year Award” – and all weekend people asked me if I’d broken an axle. Anyway, I drew Marty in the Maroon T-Bolt for the second round. He broke a fork in his Jerico, and told me he was going home – giving me a Break/Bye on Sunday.

Sunday in the third round had DW Hopkins (B/FX Thunderbolt) and me. DW treed me with a .008 and I was out. That left him and the “Keep the Faith” AA/FX in the Semis, and the AMX getting a Bye. The 9.0 car put DW on the trailer – and just in the knick of time (he was dressing in his car) from missing his call (we’d waited ten minutes for him – and he showed as the other cars left) – the AMX pulled off a 10.501 (on 10.50 Index) and .000 R/T on his Bye. Talk about pressure!

In the final round, the AMX took the win over the “Keep the Faith” Plymouth. Three of the Top Four were knocked out early – so that will help me a little in the points – but most likely near enough as the AMX might be a run-away for the points this year.

Dallas ran an 11.002 in his Semis – but the Super Bee he ran had just as good of an ET and a better R/T – so Dallas was out in the Semis. The Super Bee took out the Caprice in the finals.

We picked up our checks at 5PM and left the track – driving all night and arriving back home at noon today. Although the weather made racing and hooking up difficult – that was one of the nicest tracks I have ever raced at.

That is my story – and I am sticking to it.

OBAMA'S MILITANT RACISM REVEALED

In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack Obama, stated that America was a nation founded on 'crime and hatred'. Moreover, she stated that whites in America were 'ineradicably racist'.   The 1985 thesis, titled 'Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community' was written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson.
 
Michelle Obama stated in her thesis that to "Whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, she will always be Black first..." However, it was reported by a fellow black classmate, "If those 'Whites at Princeton' really saw Michelle as one who always would 'be Black first,' it seems that she gave them that impression".
 
Most alarming is Michele Obama's use of the terms 'separationist' and 'integrationist' when describing the views of black people.
 
Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a 'separationist' view of race.
 
'By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better understand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight.'
 
Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her 'further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant.'
 
Michele Obama clearly has a chip on her shoulder.
 
Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America , but she elevates black over white in her world.
 
 

 
Here is another passage that is uncomfortable and ominous in meaning:
 
'There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost. '
 
What is Michelle Obama planning to do with her future resources if she's first lady that will elevate black over white in America ?
 
The following passage appears to be a call to arms for affirmative action policies that could be the hallmark of an Obama administration.
 
'Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the bulk of their enrollments.'
 
 

 
The conclusion of her thesis is alarming.
 
Michelle Obama's poll of black alumni concludes that other black students at Princeton do not share her obsession with blackness. But rather than celebrate, she is horrified that black alumni identify with our common American culture more than they value the color of their skin. 'I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, t he alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility.'
 
Is it no wonder that most black alumni ignored her racist questionnaire? Only 89 students responded out of 400 who were asked for input.
 
Michelle Obama does not look into a crowd of Obama supporters and see Americans. She sees black people and white people eternally conflicted with one another.
 
The thesis provides a trove of Mrs. Obama's thoughts and world view seen through a race-based prism.
 
This is a very divisive view for a potential first lady that would do untold damage to race relations in this country in a Barack Obama administration.
 

 
Michelle Obama's intellectually refined racism should give all Americans pause for deep concern.
 
Now maybe she's changed, but she sure sounds like someone with an axe to grind with America Will the press let Michelle get a free pass over her obviously racist comment about American whites?  No doubt, it will.

According to Snopes.com,   Princeton  was requested to put a 'restriction' on distribution of any copies of the thesis of Michelle Obama (a/k/a/ Michelle laVaughn Robinson) saying it could not be made available until November 5, 2008 but when it was published on a political web site they decided they would  lift the restriction.
